BOBBI BROWN COSMETICS
An opportunity arose to design and create the branding for a new collection of cosmetics within Bobbi Brown cosmetics. For the new line named “The Wildcat collection”, I was tasked to create the full visual identity of this branding. This would be showcased in packaging, posters and a brochure for the new collection.
Through plenty of research and getting under the skin of the collection, I started to play around with textures and looking into how I could incorporate the ‘wild’ part into the branding; which would really set it apart from collections done previously within the Bobbi Brown brand. Incorporating the gold scratch and using different animal textures to signify the difference between products this was a subtle way of guiding the customer to certain products. Keeping the core text simple whilst creating powerful posters that can really set the line of cosmetics on the market.

The result is a set of classic and edgy branding which is powerful in presence and sets itself apart from other collections previously done by Bobbi Brown cosmetics.

PANTHER
The Panther range is for all our felines blessed with gorgeous locks and rich, warm skin tones.

'For Panthers no matter how dark or light your skin is you can wear a range of colours for your eyes. Panthers can get away with wearing bright colours. Panthers look stunning with golds and bronzes and silver for those of you who don’t like gold.
The effect is classy yet glamourous and can work for day and night-time looks. For the lips, panthers should look out for deep reds to give a dramatic look. But for a more feminine feel, light pinks are a good choice. But the right shade of pink is the key. For a natural daytime look, try using a nude coloured lipstick thats a similar shade to your lips.'

TIGER
The Tiger range is for all our felines blessed with pale skin and fiery, copper locks.

For Tigers, no matter how pale or warm your skin tone, you can wear a range of colours. For all you Tiger girls out there you suit browns and earthy colours. These earthy tones will help bring out the natural warm tones in your skin and will work wonders with your hair.
For a more glamourous look, go for subtle bronzes and golds. For lips, tigers can wear many different shades of pink depending on your skin tone. For a more glamourous look, pick a statement red lipstick. Red lips with red hair make for a show-stopping look!

The Lion range is for all our felines blessed with fair skin and golden locks.

'For Lions, no matter how warm or fair your skin is, you can wear a range of colours. Look out for light pastel colours for a spring daytime look, then move to a deep bold smokey eye with blues and silvers for a glam evening look. For you Lions who have warmer skin tones, coppers and bronzes are a perfect enhancement.

Pastel blues and coppers are a must have in any Lion’s make-up bag. For the lips, Lions can wear many different shades of pink depending on the tone of your skin. Try a soft nude for a sophisticated daytime look and a bold hot pink for a statement lip.'

The Jaguar range is for all our felines blessed with deep olive skin and rich, dark hair.

'For Jaguars no matter how warm or cool your skin tone is you can wear a range of colours. For all you Jaguar girls, shades of green are your friend! These greens give a warm balance between the shade of your hair and the colour of your skin.
For a more glamourous look, look out for dark browns and coppers. For lips, Jaguars can wear many shades of pink depending on the tone of your skin. For a more glamourous look a deep, rich red lipstick is a winner and a staple for any Jaguar’s make-up essentials.'

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
INITIAL SKETCHES & IDEAS
The early sketches and development I focused on a more vintage vibe to the campaign and illustrating the faces for the wildcat collection. Using simple mediums of watercolour and inks aswell as playing around with mixed media. This was a lot of fun to do and drawing most of my illustrative style from Gil Elvgren.
